Our current binaural headset is a custom-modified Sony headphone that utilizes a "street style" design. The padded earphones rest lightly against each ear and the connecting brace extends around the back of the head. In our shop, we carefully mount a miniature condensor microphone on each earphone (near each ear), allowing for binaural reception.The cables are hand-braided and exit the headset on the left side. We have tested various headset designs over the years and this one is the best yet, yielding high sensitivity, excellent binaural directionality, minimum obstruction of normal hearing, plus an open and natural sound.
